So I know I’m a bit late to the party with this blog post, and i know it’s already third week back at UOW, however with everything moving so fast (as it does in uni), I’m struggling to come to a final choice for my Digital Artefact. With my perfectionist personality and trait of either doing someting because i know it will work or just not trying it if there’s the possibility it will fail mentality, I’m struggling to come to a final decision for my DA. My first thoughts were to go something more mainstream such as twitch streaming or a YouTube make-up channel ;), but my pursuit of happiness has shunted this. Concepts such as gaming channels, vlogging, streaming, etc. I feel have been so over-done to the point of redundancy that it’s now too mainstream and predictable to go down one of those routes, so over the past week i’ve been trying to think of ideas that are a little left of centre, and are not so complicated that my brain will explode trying to conceptualise and articulate it. So here is a few of those ideas I’ve come up with:
Business Facebook/Twitter Page
So my dad runs his own finance broking business and for the last few months he’s been wanting to get into social media to try reach more people and spread his message, and has asked me on a few occasions if I’d like to add a bit of spice to it. Since then I’ve been cleaning it up and making it look as nice as I can with the resources I have readily available, however it’s sort of proven difficult as there isn’t a whole spectrum of business memes you can think of for finance broking, I mean, it’s pretty boring the whole idea of organising someone to borrow money from the bank, you know what I mean? So this DA idea is sort of lying dormant, waiting to come out if any ideas come to my head that I know will work well.

I do regard myself as a meme connoisseur 😉 and I do love the whole idea and concept around memes themselves. Again, I feel these will be in abundance and wont allow me to standout from the rest on my quest for total internet-continental dominance. If I were to make a meme page it would definitely specialise in loud memes, those are definitely my favourite genre of the gems.
Music hub, hopefully leading to a music label
So this one’s probably my favourite idea at the moment. The idea is that I set my platform up on FB, Twitter, SoundCloud and YouTube and start off reposting smaller producers music, and then hopefully if it gets big enough move onto actually signing people and getting them to produce for the label itself. This one’s been a long-running idea in the mental bank however its been on the backburner just cause… well… life gets busy, AM I RIGHT?!?! But if I can get my sh*t together I think I’d thoroughly enjoy pursuing this one. My main genre of music is pretty much hard electronic, which falls into genres such as Trap, Dub, Wub, Bass, etc. so get ready to put your rave hats on boys and gurls.
So there you have it, these are my three main ideas for my DA at this moment in time, hopefully one will come to fruition. If anyone has any recommendations please feel free to comment on this blog or the twitter notification, anything constructive would be much appreciated!
